The Lord spoke to me the other day and I want to share it with you. I pray He will speak to you through this too. Please let me know if you have been touched by it or if you need prayer. Remember, this is written as though from God’s perspective.
“I AM giving you a new perspective. See things from My view. My thoughts are greater than your thoughts. I know every living being intimately. Everything and everyone is LAID BARE before My eyes. You are an open book. I see everything as it unfolds. Before it unfolds I tell of it. I AM outside your time, declaring the end from the beginning.
I will heal you. Yes, you have many wounds that you do not know of. But I will reveal them and I will heal them. I will transform you and give you a dress of white. My daughter, My bride. My sister, My bride.
You can trust Me.”
Isaiah 55:8-9- “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith theLord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Hebrews 4:13 – “And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.“
Isaiah 46:10 – “declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose…“
Recently I received a book from www.booklookbloggers.com in exchange for my honest review. I chose “I Can Learn to Pray,” by Holly Hawkins Shivers, a devotional for kids ages 4-8 about prayer.
I want to stand up and clap for this book! What a wonderful book for teaching people of ALL ages about prayer and our relationship with God through Jesus Christ! Hallelujah! This book is simple enough for the young to understand AND theologically sound! This book, in my opinion, is key to our basic understanding of prayer, and it does a better job explaining prayer than many adult books I’ve read on the topic. Simplicity, practicality and biblical references make this book shine and rise above the others! Perfect for new Christians of any age! I’ve been following the Lord for many years now and I was really blessed by this book. He used some of the lessons to speak to me about connecting with Him. How wonderful. I love the assignment to look up Scriptures in some chapters. Tying it to the Word really makes me so happy Also helps kids practice finding each book and chapter and verse, etc.
Are you avoiding a book of the Bible that has bored or confused you in the past? Every time you open your Bible, is that book staring you in the face? Are you trying to ignore it?
Last Saturday I took Lila to a dance recital at Messiah College. What an amazing worshipful experience! I was crying through half the songs! :0) Wow. I was crying not only at the astonishing beauty that comes from a group of dancers moving together as one, but at the pleasure of the Lord. I could just feel His love towards the men & women dancing for Him, I could sense His pleasure. And He got so much glory from it! Wow. I was speechless with tears running down my cheeks. Every so often, my little Lila would look back at me and whisper, “Are you crying, Mommy?”
Dancing is such a beautiful way to worship the Lord. I admit, I’ve danced around my living room quite a bit since Saturday, having been reminded of the joy that can come from such movement for the Lord. Ah! Just thinking of it gives me great joy and peace. Hallelujah.
Dancing is truly a legitimate way to worship the Lord.
Oh, hey blog! It’s Sunday night and I am tired. My wonderful and loving husband is on a business conference until Thursday. I just finished pre-making the crock pot meals for this week and I’m feeling accomplished. And tired.
I’ve been doing a 40 day sugar fast with Wendy Speake and about 5000 women on facebook! I started earlier than everyone else, and tomorrow will mark my 2 week date. Around Thursday I started feeling super tired (more than my usual tired-because-I-have-three-children-who-still-wake-up-at-night kind of tired), and I’m blaming the sugar fast! I’ve been doing pretty well besides that, but I must admit that it’s HARD to not join in when the kids are having chocolate or cookies or well, anything. And tonight, with Rick being gone, MAN I have to admit that the chocolate Easter bunnies are calling my name! But, I want Jesus more. And that’s what the fast is all about. Seeking Jesus, learning to crave Him instead of sugary chocolatey goodies.
